Gretchen Barber CPA, Principal

Gretchen has over 30 years of auditing, accounting, tax and consulting experience.  She began her accounting career as an auditor with a Big Four accounting firm, and subsequently spent 5 years working in industry.  This time she spent working on "the other side of the desk" allows her to understand the experiences of her clients and better relate to the unique pressures they face.

After becoming a mother, Gretchen returned to public accounting, spending over 25 years at a local CPA firm specializing in nonprofit organizations.  While she initially performed audit and consulting work on the assurance side of the house, she felt drawn to tax work and thus established a specialization in tax compliance and research for nonprofit organizations.  She has a passion for working with nonprofits, and has served on the board and finance committees of several local nonprofit organizations.​​
